Fall front arrives: Cool nights ahead, 50s for parts of Central Florida

A fall front will soon make its way to Central Florida.

Some early morning showers are moving through Central Florida. The rain should clear up by late morning.

There is also a dense fog advisory in Marion County. The fog should subside by 9 a.m.

Throughout the week, temperatures will steadily drop due to the front.

Central Florida should feel the effects of the cold front by midweek.

Meteorologist Kassandra Crimi said Monday will be a transition day for the front.

For Monday, temperatures will stay in the upper 70s to low 80s.

In the tropics, Hurricane Iota has strengthened into a dangerous Category 4 hurricane. It is expected to bring potentially catastrophic winds, life-threatening storm surge and extreme rainfall to parts of Central America.
