LAKE MARY, Fla. — A Lake Mary doctor accused of sexually assaulting one of his patients could soon face more charges.
Channel 9 reported in June that the state suspended the medical license of Dr. William Dalton after a patient accused the 87-year-old of inappropriately touching her during several examinations.
The alleged victim reported the incidents to police in May. Dalton was arrested July 5.
Family Medicine On Call Inc., which is on West Lake Mary Boulevard near Rinehart Road, was indefinitely closed June 20.
“I touch breasts only because there’s something that needs to be examined,” said Dalton in June when Channel 9 asked him about the allegations.

Channel 9 learned Wednesday that more eight more alleged victims came forward after the story aired.
The Lake Mary Police Department has submitted information about the new allegations to the state attorney's office, which will decide whether it has enough evidence to file additional charges in the case.
Police did not go into specifics about the new allegations.
It will be up to prosecutors whether to file the new charges.
Dalton told Channel 9 in June that he didn't do anything inappropriate.
He was freed from jail after paying bail.
