9 things to do this weekend

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Christmas trees are being lit and Christmas is just weeks away. That means there is plenty of holiday-themed happenings going on this weekend.

Here’s a guide to everything going on this weekend, mostly holiday related but a few things for those not feeling festive just yet.

UFC Fight Night

UFC Fight Night returns to Orlando for the first time since 2018 with a welterweight main event between Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and Kevin Holland at the Amway Center on Saturday at 7 p.m. Click here for tickets.

OUC Orlando Half Marathon and Track Shack Lake Eola 5K

More than 3,000 runners will carry on the Orlando tradition with the OUC Orlando Half Marathon & Barney Butter Lake Eola 5K at 7:15 a.m. Saturday. Click here for information.

Light Up the Holidays

The City of Altamonte Springs and Duke Energy will continue the tradition of lighting up Cranes Roost on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be live music, entertainment, fireworks, train rides and an appearance by Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. Click here for more information.

Ye Olde Hometown Christmas Parade

Winter Park Chamber will host the 70th annual Winter Park Ye Olde Hometown Christmas Parade beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at Park and New England avenues. Click here for details.

Nemours Children’s Health and Orlando Science Center have teamed up to host a Teddy Bear Clinic at the Orlando Science Center Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Click here for details.
