Disney employee accused of soliciting 13-year-old for sex, deputies said

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Jose Rodriguez who is from Ocoee, is accused of traveling to Lake County to have sex with a 13-year-old girl, Lake County deputies said.

An investigation began Sept. 16 when Osceola County deputies found individuals using the internet to sexually exploit children, investigators said.

An undercover deputy posed as the aunt of a 13-year-old girl. Rodriguez is accused of contacting the aunt about sexual activity with the girl, investigators said. The communication continued for several days even after Rodriguez returned to his home in Lake County, investigators said.

Rodriguez is accused of telling the girl's aunt that he could teach the 13-year-old everything from “foreplay to physical sex,” investigators said.

"That's very disturbing to me, very. As a parent with a 13-year-old, that's very disturbing," said parent and Rodriguez's neighbor, Eurydice Stewart.

Rodriguez was arrested Monday when he arrived at a home in Lake County to have sex with the teen, investigators said. Investigators said they found a condom in his wallet.

Rodriguez admitted to investigators that he spoke with the girl's aunt to discuss having sex with the teen, but said he was really going to “report her,” investigators said.

Rodriguez's arrest was part of an online sting in Osceola County that brought in almost a dozen men accused of soliciting girls for sex. He is one of the three men who worked at Disney and were busted. One was a contract employee at Disney, the other a cast member on unpaid leave, an official with Disney told Eyewitness News.
