FCSO: Hate symbols spray painted on some Palm Coast homes

PALM COAST, Fla. — Images of swastikas, crosshairs and references to white power were found spray painted on multiple homes within a four-block area of Palm Coast, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies say three homes and a truck were vandalized near Rocking Horse Lane last week.

Deputies are still trying to determine who is responsible for the vandalism.

On Aug. 8, one of the houses was adorned with a crosshair with “666” around the top and the letters “AWP” in the center, which deputies believe stand for white power. A swastika was also painted nearby.

“It's not acceptable. You can't do things like that around here,” said Steve Cabral, who lives in the neighborhood.

Two days earlier, someone spray painted the phrase “Stay white” and an image of an R with a three-point crown on the garage door of a home Rolling Sands Drive, deputies said.

The same morning, deputies said the same image of the R with a three-point crown was spray painted on a pickup truck parked on the same street.

“I would suppose it's kids but if it's adults, it makes it even more sad,” said Cabral.

Deputies said they have not had any reports of issues with white nationalists in Flagler County in 2017.
