Presenters & Special Guests

The 2017 ESPY’s scheduled attendees include top athletes, musicians, and actors from all walks of life. A few of the presenters handing out awards this year include Chris Berman (ESPN), Bryan Cranston, Eddie George (Heisman Trophy Winner), Samuel L. Jackson, Nneka Ogwumike (Los Angeles Sparks), Danica Patrick, Issa Rae (Insecure), Jeremy Renner (Wind River), and others.

In addition, Russell Westbrook, Bryan Cranston, Simone Biles, Samuel L. Jackson, Shaun White, Kevin Durant, Snoop Dogg and other celebrities will attend the ceremony.

Grammy-nominated R&B singer, Gallant, is expected to perform during the show.

The Awards

One of the most talked about awards each year, the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, will be presented posthumously to the family of Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver.

Shriver founded the Special Olympics in 1968 to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities to become accepted and celebrated members of society. Today, Special Olympics includes 5.3 million athletes in more than 170 countries.

Previous winners of the Arthur Ashe Courage Award include Zaevion Dobson in 2016 and Caitlyn Jenner in 2015.

US Airforce Master Sgt. Israel Del Toro will receive the Pat Tillman Award for Service during the show.

After a 2005 explosion in Afghanistan left him with severed fingers and serious burns, Del Toro defied the odds and made a miraculous recovery.  He eventually set world records in shot put, discus, and javelin and won a gold medal at the 2016 Orlando Invictus Games.
