Accused Windermere Child Rapist Files Complaint Against Resident

WINDERMERE, Fla. — WFTV learned on Friday that the same accused child rapist, whose crimes were allegedly covered up by the former police chief, is calling the Windermere Police Department for help once again.

DOCUMENT: Bush's Complaint Report

Scott Bush says fellow Windermere resident Jon Hodgskin was harassing him with a gun. The accused child rapist complained to Windermere police that Hodgskin called him a child molester and, according to a complaint report, threatened to "kick his ass."

The two men are involved in an ongoing feud. Bush, 50, is accused of raping two young girls. He's out of jail on bond and scheduled to face trial in September.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said Bush already would have been in prison if former Windermere police Chief Daniel Saylor hadn't shut down his department's investigation into child sex allegations against Bush.

According to the report, on Wednesday Bush went the official route for help from the Windermere police. He called 911, complaining that his longtime nemesis had threatened him by saying "he has a gun and he knows how to use it to take care of child molesters."

Bush told police Hodgskin made an obscene gesture and shouted obscenities at him when they passed each other on the road late Wednesday morning. Bush said Hodgskin followed him home and taunted him to come out to the street so Hodgskin could beat him up.

Bush said he didn't take the bait and, as soon as Hodgskin left his neighborhood, he called 911.

Hodgskin told police Bush is the one who started it, that Bush repeatedly tries to run Hodgskin's employees off the road. Investigators said Hodgskin denied threatening Bush with a gun, telling police he "would never do something that stupid."

Bush took off Friday when WFTV tried to ask him about the incident. Hodgskin did not return WFTV's call.

Windermere police said it will let prosecutors sort out whether Hodgskin will be charged with aggravated assault.
