Hundreds of people prepared to abandon ship Wednesday morning after a ferry caught fire off the coast of Puerto Rico.
The U.S. Coast Guard said around 8:30 a.m. that it was responding to reports of a ferry fire about one mile from San Juan. The ferry has 512 passengers and crew members on-board, according to the Coast Guard.
Multiple local agencies also responded to the fire.
