According to Josh Butler, associate editor of Huffington Post Australia, "many hundreds" of compromised accounts – including @Forbes, @BBC America, @CBSTVStudios, @Bieber_Japan, sports teams and other verified users – tweeted a message in Turkish overnight.
The tweet, which begins with a swastika and includes a YouTube link, "says 'Nazi Germany' and 'Nazi Holland' and 'see you April 16th,'" Butler tweeted.
CNBC reported that hacked accounts also were "branded with the Turkish flag."
