911 CALL: 4-Year-Old Calls Looking For Mom
Deputies went to her house after her son told a 911 operator he was trying to find his mom, but didn't know her number.
Suspect Jocelyn Villot 111610 Jocelyn Villot Jocelyn Villot "Are you there alone? The dispatcher asked.
"I'm alone," the boy replied.
"Who's there with you?" the dispatcher asked.
"Nobody," he said.
Deputies say Villot was arrested and is in jail facing child neglect charges.
"Who were you trying to call?" the dispatcher asked.
"I don't know my mom's number," he said.
"You don't know your mom's number?" asked the dispatcher.
"I was trying to call my mom," the boy said.
That 9-1-1 call came from a Deltona home Sunday, where Villot's 4-year-old son was inside trying to find his mom.
"Has she been gone a long, long time?" asked the dispatcher.
"Yes," the boy said. "My mom's at the doctor."
The boy had been alone in the house for at least two hours deputies said.
"Your mom's at the doctor? Are you there alone?" the dispatcher asked.
"I'm alone," he replied.
"Who's there with you?" asked the dispatcher.
"Nobody," the boy said.
Meanwhile, charging documents said his mother was out with friends, and one sheriff's log said security cameras at a CVS pharmacy store near the house, caught her trying to pick up prescription pills, with an unsigned prescription.
The 911 dispatcher had an eight- minute conversation with the boy.
"What's your name?" asked the dispatcher.
"My name is Tara," he said.
The boy was kept on the phone until deputies arrived.
Villot is in jail and had a couple of charges added when she tried to bring drugs into the jail, records show. Her son is with his grandparents.
The sheriff's reports said Villot claimed she thought the boy was with his aunt, but deputies determined that her story didn't add up.
