LAKE COUNTY, Fla.,None — A Lake County woman is facing child abuse charges for allegedly leaving a 3-year-old locked in a car on a 90-degree day.
Police arrested Tamara Schubert Tuesday after deputies found the child sweating in a car at a shopping plaza off US-27 in Clermont. Schubert had gone to the post office and returned just as deputies arrived.
The child was checked by paramedics, but appeared to be okay.
The high temperature in Clermont Tuesday was 92 degrees.
