KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The Kissimmee Police Department closed all travel lanes of John Young Parkway between Emmett Street and Patrick Street Monday due to a downed power pole, but John Young Parkway's southbound lanes were reopened around 10:45am. Northbound lanes, however, will remain closed until the pole is repaired.
The power pole was struck and Kissimmee Utility Authority crews are on the scene making repairs to the pole.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes. It is unclear how long the repairs will take.
