Orange County Animal Services removed seven fruit bats from Brittney Lamones' unit at the Willow Key Apartments near the MetroWest area of Orlando.

Animal Services told WFTV bat infestations are a serious problem because the animals can carry rabies.

Lamones' thinks there are possibly hundreds more bats inside her apartment.

"We turn on a light, there are swarms of them coming out my bathroom, vents; coming out my closet," said Lamones.

Lamones says she and her two children are going to get rabies shots. She is asking the apartment complex for compensation.

The management at the apartment complex has not commented on issue.
