ORLANDO, Fla. — For the second week in a row, the price of gas fell in the Sunshine State.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas dropped 9 cents over the past week, landing at $3.56 on Sunday.
That’s down 16 cents from a little more than two weeks earlier when Florida hit its 2023 high of $3.72 per gallon.

And the price improvements should continue.
“Florida gas prices should move even lower this week,” AAA’s Mark Jenkins said.

Jenkins said they’re still trending downward, adjusting following the spike after recent flooding in South Florida.
“Additionally, the oil market suffered its third consecutive week of declines, which should apply more downward pressure on prices at the pump,” he added.

The auto club reported another penny drop on Monday for a gallon of regular unleaded, bringing the state average down to $3.55.
If you’re filling up in Central Florida, expect to find prices hovering around that average, give or take a couple of cents.
Average price per gallon, according to AAA:
- $3.56 - Daytona Beach
- $3.55 - Ocala
- $3.54 - Orlando
- $3.53 - Melbourne-Titusville
- $3.53 - The Villages
It means if you’re on empty and gassing up an average 15-gallon tank Monday, you’ll spend about $53.
