ORLANDO, Fla. — Chloe Bennethem, a 7-year-old girl battling cancer, has been nominated for the Stan Lee Foundation “Super Kid” award. If she wins the nationwide competition, Chloe stands to gain a $25,000 prize and have her personal narrative adapted into a dedicated comic book.
Chloe’s father, Chuck Bennethem, works for Channel 9 in Central Florida, where local residents have gathered to support her campaign.
The Stan Lee Foundation “Super Kid” honor is a nationwide award recognizing young people with exceptional bravery and toughness. Community members in Central Florida gathered Saturday to rally behind Chloe, boosting her to the top in the ongoing competition.
Chloe is facing cancer once more following a prior recovery from the illness. She has maintained a resilient attitude throughout her treatment, supported by a network of backers across Central Florida.
