BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — Lifeguards in Brevard County are asking swimmers to be extra careful after making over 100 rescues over the weekend because of rip currents and heavy surf.
Lifeguards say they expect dangerous conditions to continue on Monday.
14 people were rescued from beaches on Sunday. On Saturday, lifeguards had to pull 42 people from the water and on Friday almost 70 swimmers were rescued.
Lifeguards recommend that swimmers stay near their towers and keep an eye out for warning signs.
