SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies have arrested 12 suspects accused of operating a drug trafficking ring in Seminole County.
Authorities said the suspect, who range in age from 25-53, were involved in the sale and purchase of prescription pills and cocaine.
"We were able to take a lot of prescription pills and illegal drugs off the streets," said Kristen Bensten, of the Seminole County Sheriff's Office.
Agents with the City County Investigative Bureau began investigating the group in September 2014, after receiving complaints about drug activity in local communities.
Agents conducted a series of undercover operations and made controlled purchases in order to identify the persons involved with the drug deals, officials said.
Investigators said Travis Davis, 41, of Sanford, was the primary dealer. He was charged with multiple counts of trafficking and selling controlled substances and cocaine.
Agents believe Davis was selling $12,000 to $15,000 per month in prescription pills, in addition to selling cocaine.
"Mr. Davis was purchasing these prescription medications from Alexandria Mones, who actually had legit prescriptions for these meds," said Bensten.
Authorities said they're still looking for three more suspect in the case.
The following four suspects were charged with conspiracy to traffic or sell cocaine or controlled substances:
Gilbert Mobley, 45, of Sanford
Alexandria Mones, 39, of Altamonte Springs
Mitchell Salter, 34, of Sanford
Efrem Session, 44, of Deltona
The following seven suspects were charged with solicitation of cocaine or a controlled substance:
Jessica Constable, 26, of Sanford
Ruby Davis, 53, of Sanford
Dominique Lattanzio, 27, of DeBary
Melissa Lightfoot, 34, of Sanford
Laura Purcaro, 31, of DeBary
Allison Shirtcliffe, 32, of DeBary
Nathaniel Willett, 25, of DeBary
