ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A teenager who died after being shot Wednesday night in Orange County has been identified as 17-year-old Jackson Pharell Jones, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the 2000 block of River Tree Circle at about 8 p.m. Wednesday after receiving a report of a shooting.
When deputies arrived, they found Jones suffering from a gunshot wound.
Jones was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
The sheriff’s office said Thursday that detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting. No additional information was released.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting and whether anyone has been arrested were not immediately available.
