LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — A Lake County man who detectives said was stabbed by a woman whom he was attempting to rape is facing new charges.
Robert Pascual, 22, is accused of attempting to rape a woman in the parking lot of a Clermont apartment complex earlier this month.
The victim grabbed a knife from her vehicle and stabbed Pascual, deputies said.
He was found bloodied underneath a stairwell.
[ Pascual was charged a week later with the rape of an 11-year-old girl in Mount Dora last summer. ]

Since his arrest, two more women at the Clermont apartment complex have come forward saying they recognized Pascual on the news as the man who assaulted them in the parking lot.
A woman reported that on Nov. 30, Pascual walked up behind her as she got out of the car, put his hand over her mouth and proceeded to drag her backward.
She sounded her car alarm on her key and he let her go and ran away, detectives said.
Detectives said a witness identified him as the same man she saw running in the parking lot that night. She said he had knocked on her apartment door earlier, but since she didn’t recognize him, she didn’t answer.
After that incident, deputies released a composite sketch of a man they said was targeting women in and around the complex.
Another woman who lives in the complex said that in early February, Pascual jumped out from the bushes while she was in the parking lot and grabbed her arm.
The woman was able to push the suspect away, but he continued to follow her, got in her face and asked her if she felt like having sex, a report said.
She knocked on her door to get her husband’s attention and Pascual ran when the husband answered.
Detectives said that incident happened the day before Pascual was stabbed.
Pascual’s new charges include battery and stalking.
He remains in the Lake County Jail.
