2 suspects in teen sex trafficking ring captured in Atlanta, police say

Two people accused in a sex trafficking ring that police said led to the death of an Orlando teenager have been captured.

Police announced last week they were looking for Arthur Coleman and Karla Alsina.

Police said Monday the two were captured in Atlanta.

Orlando police said Alsina and Coleman sold 14 and 15-year-old teenage sisters for sex and plied them with drugs.

Police said the 14-year-old died of a drug overdose in August following eight days of being trafficked for sex.

The 15-year-old’s mother told Channel 9 that Alsina continued to try to contact her daughter.

Two men, Avorice Holman and Jose Sotomayor, were also arrested in the case.

Police did not release additional details about the arrests of Coleman and Alsina.
