OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Three men were arrested and charged after allegedly firing at an Osceola County deputy during a traffic stop Saturday.
Deputies responded to a house party on Emerald Green Court at about 1 a.m. in reference to call about a disturbance.
They said more than 100 people were at the party, with at least 50 cars on the street.
They then responded to a call about shots fired at a deputy during a traffic stop nearby.
The deputy wasn’t injured.
Christopher Rodriguez-Jimenez, 19, Stephen Dantzler, 20, and Lee Castaneda, 21, saw the deputy in his marked patrol car and began firing multiple shots at the deputy, reports said.
Deputies spotted the car and took the suspects into custody.
Two of the suspects told deputies they were at the party.
The three men were charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, discharge of a gun from a vehicle and committing a second-degree felony with a weapon.
Dantzler and Jimenez were also charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
They were booked into the Osceola County Jail
