DELTONA, Fla. — Three people have been arrested and a fourth is wanted after a gang-related attempted home invasion in Deltona that sent multiple bullets into an occupied home, including the bedroom where an 11-year-old child was sleeping, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting happened around 4 a.m. on Nov. 19, 2025, at a home on Wainwright Street.
The four people inside the home were awakened by the sound of gunfire. When they checked their surveillance cameras, they saw four masked and hooded suspects attempting to break into the house, deputies said.
Investigators found 25 bullet strikes on the garage and inside the home.
Six rounds penetrated the front window. Four of those bullets continued through an interior bedroom wall and entered the bedroom where the 11-year-old was sleeping, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives identified three suspects: 19-year-old James Cropper, 19-year-old Jamar Battle and 15-year-old Edrice Brantley. All three are from Orlando.
Investigators also found additional fingerprint evidence in a stolen getaway car. The vehicle was identified using license plate reader technology, tracked to Orlando and recovered there, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation eventually led detectives to identify a fourth suspect, 33-year-old Miguel Alberto Nunez Albrincole of Kissimmee.
Nunez Albrincole is wanted on charges of shooting into an occupied home, attempted armed burglary of an occupied home and armed burglary of a vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Office said the crime was gang-related and originated in the Orlando area before coming to Deltona.
An arrest warrant for Nunez Albrincole was issued earlier this month. His last known address is at the 19 South Apartments in Kissimmee.
Investigators said he is originally from the Dominican Republic, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
The residents of the Deltona home have since moved out.
