Boil water notice issued in Mount Dora, city officials say

MOUNT DORA, Fla. — A lightning strike Tuesday evening caused a boil water notice for some residents in Mount Dora, city leaders said.

The strike hit a cast-iron water main line, which caused it to lose power, and the boil water notice was issued.

Residents in the affected area should boil their water for at least one minute. That includes water used to make ice cubes, coffee, drinking water, water to brush teeth.
