SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A boil-water alert is in effect for northwest Seminole County.
Seminole County Environmental Services issued the alert Saturday due to a temporary reduction of pressure at the treatment plant.
Officials have begun taking bacteria samples as a precaution.
They ask that until the notice is lifted, residents boil water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes.
A rolling boil for one minute should suffice.
Advisory yard signs about the alert were placed at businesses and residents' yards to inform affected customers.
