Bomb threat reported in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A bomb threat was reported in Orange County on Thursday afternoon, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

Officials originally reported that the threat was issued toward Hunters Creek Middle School, but deputies later said the school wasn’t targeted, and that the situation may have stemmed from a domestic dispute at a nearby apartment complex.

Deputies set up a staging area near the school.

The threat was reported about 4:30 p.m.

Fire Rescue does not know if the threat was made in the form of a phone call, a letter, or if it was an online threat.

A bomb squad was sent to the scene.

No other information has been released.
