PALM BAY, Fla. — A bomb threat prompted the closure of Palm Bay Road, police said.
Palm Bay police said a man called 911 just before 7 p.m. Wednesday and said there was a bomb at the RaceTrac on the 700 block of Palm Bay Road that was going to go off at 7:30 p.m.
As he was hanging up, police said he told the dispatcher, “Never mind, I’m going to the Kangaroo.”
A Kangaroo gas station is close to the RaceTrac.
There were no reports of explosions by 9 p.m.
Palm Bay Road was shut down as police investigated.
