ORLANDO, Fla. — A flood warning remains in effect until 9:30 a.m. for some of the hardest-hit areas of Brevard County, where standing water and multiple road closures continue to create hazardous travel conditions.
While a few brief showers are possible Wednesday morning, forecasters say little additional rainfall is expected.
Even small amounts of rain could be problematic for areas already dealing with lingering floodwaters.

Additional showers and isolated storms could develop inland this afternoon along the sea breeze.
Temperatures will remain warm and muggy, with highs reaching the middle 80s.
The warm, humid pattern is expected to continue through the remainder of the workweek. Thursday and Friday will bring partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-80s, with heat index values climbing into the low 90s.
Looking ahead to the weekend, a cold front is expected to move through Central Florida.
The front is not expected to bring significant rainfall, but it should deliver some relief from the recent humidity.
The biggest change will be felt Sunday, when cooler, more comfortable conditions move into the area.
Morning temperatures are expected to fall into the 50s and lower 60s.
For now, residents in flood-prone areas should remain cautious, avoid driving through standing water and check for road closures before heading out.
Although the forecast is trending drier, lingering floodwaters remain a concern in parts of Brevard County.
