MELBOURNE, Fla. — A Brevard County TD Bank robbery caused a middle school to go into lockdown Monday morning, according to Melbourne police.

Channel 9 learned that the robbery suspect's car crashed into a pole near Stone Magnet Middle School, which was then placed on lockdown. The lockdown has since been lifted.

Dashcam video released by Melbourne police showed the suspect, Skyler Christian Awad, 27, speeding off, running stop signs and at one point, driving directly at an officer.

Police said the Awad walked into the TD Bank on South Babcock, handed the teller a note that said, "I demand all your money, don't make me shoot you!"

Police were already in the area investigating an attempted robbery at a Subway restaurant on Harbor City Boulevard. Police believe Awad is also connected to that crime.

Police arrested Awad after the crash.
