BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 25-year-old woman on Oct. 24 after allegedly shooting a female passenger sitting inside her vehicle.
Deputies reported that Katherine Kelly’s boyfriend had taken her vehicle to meet up with another female. Kelly tracked her boyfriend to his location, where she saw him sitting in her vehicle with the woman in the passenger seat and fired a gun through the window, striking the passenger in the shoulder.
Following the shooting, the boyfriend circled around in the vehicle to get away from Kelly. He then dropped the injured woman off at her house, returned to pick up Kelly, and drove back to their home.
BCSO booked Kelly on four felony counts: attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, shooting a deadly weapon into an occupied vehicle, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
