Deadly crash in Brevard County leaves 1 dead and 2 others in critical condition, troopers say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Brevard County.

According to troopers, the crash occurred at 3:35 a.m. on Saturday.

Troopers said a vehicle was traveling southbound on State Road 407 and for some unknown reason crossed into the northbound lanes, striking another vehicle head-on.

The 36-year-old male driver of that vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

According to troopers, the 37-year-old female passenger and the 20-year-old female driver of the second car were both airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
