Charges pending for driver found in bushes after I-95 semi-truck crash, passenger seriously injured

23-year-old passenger hospitalized with serious injuries; Corolla driver also treated as investigation continues into cause of collision

UPDATE:

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that occurred Sunday morning around 2:00 a.m., involving a 2024 Toyota Corolla and a semi-truck.

The corolla was traveling southbound on the northbound lanes of I-95. while the semi-truck was traveling northbound on I-95.

As a result, the two vehicles collided head-on.

The corolla struck the guardrail and ran off the roadway, while the semi also ran off the roadway.

Charges are pending for the 32-year-old driver who was found in the bushes and was later transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger of the Corolla, a 23-year-old male, was also transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the semi was not injured in the crash.

The Crash remains under investigation.

The semi-truck in the crash is driven by a 60-year-old man who was not injured. Witnesses said the Toyota Corolla hit the truck under uncertain circumstances, leading to an immediate investigation by local authorities.

Authorities reported that the passenger from the Corolla was also transported with serious injuries and was receiving medical attention at a nearby hospital.
