Osceola health officials offer COVID-19 vaccine events ahead of upcoming school year Some Central Florida health departments said they are ramping up COVID-19 vaccine efforts before school is back in session.
Officials said based on availability, the clinic will provide the first dose of the two-dose Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, with follow-up appointments for the second dose, and also the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Health officials said they’ve seen a spike in COVID-19 cases in Brevard County that is attributed to the highly infectious delta variant of the coronavirus. They said the variant is twice as contagious as the original COVID-19.
