ORLANDO, Fla. — Just a day after SpaceX’s historic splashdown in the Gulf, the company completed a test for its Starship rocket.
The reusable vehicle is designed to help people get to the moon and Mars.
SpaceX said the “hop test” was successful.

The rocket took off from a launching stand in South Texas Tuesday, flew to a height of 500 feet, then it made a controlled landing on a pad nearby.
NASA said the Starship is a contender for crewed moon missions later this decade.
