ORLANDO, Fla. — The Tony-award winning Broadway musical "Hamilton" will be coming to Orlando for the upcoming season at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
The announcement was made Thursday for the 2018-2019 season.
The blockbuster musical took home 11 Tony Awards in June, including Best Musical.

“Hamilton” is the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton put to music, and was inspired by the 2004 biography “Alexander Hamilton” by Ron Chernow.
The Dr. Phillips Center has not announced the dates the show will play in Orlando.

Current season ticket holders will have the first chance to get “Hamilton” tickets when renewing for the 2018-2019 season, the Dr. Phillips Center said.
