APOPKA, Fla. — Two restaurants in the same Apopka complex were burglarized early Thursday and one person was arrested at Gator’s Dockside on Semoran Boulevard, Seminole County deputies said.
Investigators said they believe that the two burglaries were related.
The first was discovered at 3:10 a.m. by a Seminole County deputy on patrol in the area, officials said.
The deputy noticed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Gator’s Dockside and took a woman into custody, investigators said.
As the deputy was detaining the woman, two or three people inside the restaurant ran out the back of the building and escaped, the sheriff’s office said.
The car involved was found to be stolen from Orange County, deputies said.
Caffe Positano, which is located in the same complex, was also burglarized sometime late Wednesday or early Thursday, investigators said.
A helicopter and K-9 units searched the area for the individuals who ran from Gator’s Dockside but did not find them.
