DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Daytona Beach police said a domestic incident may have led to a car ending up in the Halifax River Friday afternoon.
According to police, Sunni Frasier reported her car stolen and that the person she said took it ended up driving it into the river.
Frasier said her Dodge Charger was stolen by her boyfriend’s friend after he threw a brick through the window of the car during an argument.
She told police he drove off in the car to Bowman Avenue where he sent it into the river.
Police said Frasier told them she isn't sure she wants to press charges, and they believe the incident may have been the result of an argument.
The car went into the water along Rio Vista Avenue, just north of the main street bridge.
Police said no one was in the car when it went into the water.
There were no reports of injuries in the incident and police were looking for the man who was driving the car.
