ORLANDO, Fla. — High pressure and relatively dry air will keep control of Central Florida’s weather pattern over the next several days, bringing plenty of sunshine and hot temperatures.
Most areas will start the day with mostly sunny skies before clouds build during the afternoon.
Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible, particularly later in the day.
The strongest storms could produce wind gusts up to 40 mph, isolated pockets of heavy rain and frequent lightning.

While severe weather is not expected, an isolated stronger storm cannot be completely ruled out.
Temperatures will remain well above average, with highs ranging from around 92 degrees along the coast to as high as 96 degrees in and around the Orlando area.
The heat and afternoon storm pattern is expected to continue through most of the upcoming work week.
Residents should stay weather-aware during the afternoon and evening, especially when thunderstorms develop.
