ORLANDO, Fla. — A search is underway off the coast of the Bahamas after a small plane carrying four family members crashed while traveling to Miami Executive Airport.
Air traffic control reported losing contact with the aircraft yesterday during bad weather as it flew toward Florida.
The U.S. Coast Guard is currently assisting Bahamian officials with the search efforts in the region.
The four individuals onboard the aircraft, including the pilot, are all members of a single family.
Authorities have not released the identities of those onboard or details regarding the type of aircraft involved.
