CENTRAL FLA. — We closed the weekend with scattered showers and storms, and more wet weather is ahead to start the week.
The scattered activity will fade away this evening, with a few coastal showers possible by daybreak. Morning lows will be in the low 70s.
Our deep tropical moisture remains in place for Monday, keeping rain and storm chances elevated. Highs for Monday will be in the upper 80s.
With the kick-off of Fall on Tuesday, there will be more showers and storms. The best chance of activity will be in the PM, with temps in the low 90s.
Slightly drier air pushes in midweek, decreasing rain coverage somewhat across the region. Temps for Wednesday and Thursday will be around 90.
Our first cold front in months now looks to arrive late in the week, ushering in drier air across the region. Just a few widely scattered showers are expected Friday, with temps in the upper 80s.
Right now, next weekend looks like a taste of dry season, with just a spotty shower possible and temps in the 80s.
