PINE HILLS, Fla. — Orange County investigators were back at a scene where a woman's body was found earlier this week.
The remains were discovered in a Pine Hills neighborhood on Laconia Road.
Crime scene investigators were collecting evidence ever since the body was discovered. The house on Laconia Road has been vacant for at least six months, officials said.
On Tuesday, neighbors said they could smell the decomposing body.
When deputies got there, they saw vultures circling and found the remains in the home.
WFTV ran the property records and found out that the owner listed as Herald Archie had passed away, and neighbors claim his wife had been in the home until about a year ago.
Investigators said the victim has been determined to be female, but it will take quite some time to ID her.
