Daily lane shifts coming to Franklin Street and Neptune Road starting Monday

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Traffic on Franklin Street at Neptune Road in Osceola County will temporarily shift daily starting tomorrow, Aug. 24, through Wednesday, Aug. 26.

The temporary lane adjustments are necessary to allow crews to complete roadway construction and tie-in work.

Work is scheduled each day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. over the three-day period. County officials confirmed that Franklin Street will remain accessible to traffic at all times during the project.

Crews will conduct the construction in phases, requiring temporary closures of either the entrance or exit lane. The remaining open lane will handle traffic moving in both directions.

Drivers traveling through the intersection should watch for changing traffic patterns, follow posted signage and use caution inside the work zone.

Osceola County officials warned that nearby residents may experience noise, dust and vibration during active work hours.

County officials noted that the construction schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

The daily traffic shifts and construction work are scheduled to end at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
