ORLANDO, Fla. — Dangerous conditions continue along Central Florida’s beaches as king tides and high surf raise concerns about coastal flooding and beach erosion.
Conditions are expected to remain hazardous on Tuesday, with significant improvement unlikely until next week.
Along the coast, elevated surf and unusually high tides could contribute to flooding and further erosion.
Beachgoers should use caution and stay alert to changing conditions.
Away from the coast, another very windy day is in the forecast. A wind advisory is in effect for roughly half of Central Florida, with wind gusts expected to reach 30 to 40 mph.
Rain chances will be slightly lower on Tuesday, although some areas could still see showers.
Locations south of Brevard County have the best chance of rain.
Despite the wind and coastal concerns, temperatures will remain warm, with afternoon highs reaching the low 80s.
