ORLANDO, Fla. — Heat will remain the main weather story across Central Florida through the rest of the week, with another hot and steamy day ahead.
Afternoon temperatures will climb into the low to mid-90s, but high humidity will make it feel significantly hotter.
Heat index values are expected to reach the 100s, with the hottest spots feeling as hot as 108 to 110 degrees.
Because of the dangerous heat, a Heat Advisory is in effect for all of Central Florida from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m.
Some late-day showers and thunderstorms could provide temporary relief from the heat.
The best chance for rain will be from Orlando eastward, mainly during the afternoon and early evening.
Even with some storms around, temperatures will remain hot and humid, so the heat will continue to be a concern through the remainder of the week.
