Armed duo robs convenience store near Kissimmee

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — An armed duo scaled a counter Saturday as they robbed a convenience store near Kissimmee, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.

The armed men robbed the A&M Discount Beverage store on Clay Street shortly after 7:30 p.m., said Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Twis Lizasuain.

“Upon arrival, [deputies] spoke with the clerk who indicated two unknown males entered the store, jumped behind the counter and demanded money at gunpoint,” Lizasuain said. “They left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.”

One man was described as white or Hispanic, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall. He wore a blue long-sleeved shirt, stone-washed jeans, black shoes and a New York Yankees hat.

The other man was described as black, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall. He wore a dark-colored shirt with a white and black hooded sweatshirt, gold pants with white draw strings and black shoes.

Both men covered their face with a shirt. They are of a medium build and are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, Lizasuain said.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222.
