ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Orange County deputies are searching for a pair of armed robbers who hit up a CVS store on International Drive.
Deputies said one of the robbers pointed a gun at an employee’s face while his partner kept two other employees at bay.
Both robbers demanded cash from the cashier.
“The clerk is shaken up but he is cooperating and giving us a lot of information about the robbery at this time,” said Lt. Paul Hopkins of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives said they seem sure the robbers are responsible for other robberies in the past month.
“When we arrived, we spoke with the clerk who states a white male and a black male entered the store. Both had faces covered,” Hopkins said,
The details of the crime match what happened Thursday morning at a 7-11 in Seminole County.
Surveillance video from that robbery showed two men with their faces covered, in similar shirts as the CVS robbery.
The same disguise tactic was used in a robbery at an Apopka Circle K the same day as the 7-11.
“They were last seen running away on foot from the business,” Hopkins said.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office.
