OCKLAWAHA, Fla. — Deputies are searching for a 49-year-old man wanted in connection with a shooting and two stolen vehicle investigations in Marion County.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said Leroy Parks III left a home on SE 192nd Court in Ocklawaha at about 5:45 a.m. Thursday after a shooting occurred.
The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital by medics with non-life-threatening injuries, according to deputies.
Investigators said Parks then stole two vehicles. He is believed to be driving a stolen white 2016 Nissan Titan with Florida license plate 31DVBK.
Deputies said Parks may still have a firearm and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who sees Parks or the stolen Nissan Titan is urged to call 911 immediately and report his location.
Authorities are warning the public not to approach Parks.
The sheriff’s office said deputies are continuing to search for him.
