ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 21-year-old woman was wounded by gunfire Sunday evening at an apartment complex near the University of Central Florida, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.
The shooting was reported shortly before 7:15 p.m. at the College Village Inn apartments on University Boulevard at Collegiate Way, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jane Watrel said.
Deputies found the woman at Florida Hospital East. She told investigators that a 26-year-old man shot her during an argument, Watrel said.
The woman is expected to survive, deputies said.
Neither person was publicly identified.
The shooting remains under investigation.
No other details were given.
