LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Visitors to a galaxy far, far away will soon have some new friends to bring along for the adventure at Walt Disney World.
Disney is introducing three new Batuu Adventure Buddies: an Ewok, Grogu, and a Huttlet at Droid Depot inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The interactive toys feature expressive eyes, motorized facial expressions and character-inspired sounds. They can also react to other toys and droids and respond when guests tap their heads or bellies.
The Ewok includes special features such as an “Endor Dance Party,” complete with Ewokese chanting and drumming sounds.
Guests can also purchase themed gear inspired by Endor, Mandalore and Batuu. Certain accessories trigger additional sounds, animations and reactions.
The new companions will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at a later date.
For guests who would rather build their own sidekick, Droid Depot will continue offering its custom droid-building experience. Guests can choose from four models, BB-Series, R-Series, C-Series and A-LT-Series, before selecting parts and assembling and activating their droid.
Once activated, the droids can interact with select locations throughout Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
