Disney raises ticket prices, charging more for Magic Kingdom

ORLANDO, Fla. — Disney officials have announced they will increase ticket prices beginning Sunday and it will cost more to go to Magic Kingdom than the other parks.

For the first time ever, admission will cost more at Magic Kingdom as opposed to other Disney parks like Epcot.

On Sunday, one-day tickets to Magic Kingdom will increase to $95 for anyone over 10-years-old, according to officials. Tickets to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom will increase to $90.

Previously, a one-day ticket to any one of the parks was $89.

Disney is also changing the price of a one-day Park Hopper ticket, which used to be $124. The new price will be $129.

The last time Disney increased ticket prices was in June of 2012. In December, Disney opened Fantasyland, the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history.
