ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando doctor accused of having wild sex-and-drug parties with patients pleaded guilty in court on Monday.
Drug agents initially busted Dr. Mladen Antolic in October 2010 as part of a crackdown on pill mill doctors.
Antolic finalized a plea deal that includes a 10-year prison sentence.
Antolic appeared in a jail jumpsuit with a scruffy face in court Monday morning as he was fingerprinted and prepped to be taken away to prison.
He was facing more than 100 years behind bars after investigators said he was throwing prescription-drug-and-sex parties with patients at his Hunter's Creek home.
He faced charges from racketeering to drugs and prostitution solicitation.
Antolic was running a pain management clinic in Orange County. Investigators said he would invite female patients to drug-fueled house parties and even photograph and videotape sexual situations with his intoxicated patients, including one patient's daughter.
Officials said Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation raids at his clinic and his home uncovered tens of thousands of dollars in cash, along with a list of prescription and illegal drugs, including Oxycontin and cocaine, according to investigators.
Some of his patients told investigators that they became addicted to drugs because of the former doctor's parties.
Antolic was also accused of hiding large amounts of drug money in offshore accounts and using his doctor's office to move illegal prescription drugs.
